Ghani Group began its business journey in 1967 under the name Ahmed Brothers & Co., with the acquisition of a defunct coal mine, Duta Mines, which eventually led to the full acquisition of Makerwall Collieries.

The group diversified its operations, becoming the first private sector company to venture into major minerals. Ghani Corporation made history by being the first private company to register the export of one ton of salt, ultimately becoming Pakistan's largest mineral exporter.

Ghani Group marked a new chapter in its evolution as Ghani Group of Industries by becoming one of the first five companies in Pakistan to introduce shuttle-less technology in textile manufacturing.

Ghani Group of Industries expanded its container division by acquiring one of Pakistan’s most advanced and leading plants, establishing themselves as leaders in pharmaceutical, food & beverage glass containers.

Alhamdulillah, Ghani Group of Industries achieved a groundbreaking milestone by introducing Pakistan’s first high-tech float glass manufacturing process, successfully shifting nearly 70% of the country’s flat glass market from imports to local production.

Continuing its international expansion, Ghani Group joined hands with RAK to establish a state-of-the-art ceramics plant in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

Ghani Group pioneered value addition in glass manufacturing in Pakistan by producing state-of-the-art mirrors and introducing spectrum technology, replacing 80% of related imports with local production. Further advancements included high-quality double-glazed glass, tempered glass, bent glass, and color-painted glass, setting new industry standards.

Ghani Group established Pakistan’s first composite mineral raw material processing plant for the extraction and refinement of silica sand and other mined minerals — the most critical step in ensuring top-quality production.
